The Sunnyflower class Banaue, named after the famous hillside rice paddys on Earth is an important source of food supplies for the fleet and one of the most integral ships in the Pioneer fleet. Containing a secondary population centre beneath the within the 4.8km wide glass dome, the upper deck of the Banaue have been built into a massive prairie, constructed specifically for agricultural purposes including farming and animal husbandry. Beneath the environment dome level are a large number of hydroponic labs and food processing plants as well as massive warehouse complexes tasked with stocking a significant proportion of the fleet’s food reserve. The Banaue also carries the sealed labs storing DNA samples of plants and animals as well as terraforming and construction equipment that will enable the colonists to begin a new life on a newly discovered world.
